Wealth Support for Caregivers
Integrating Caregiving into Scotia’s Total Wealth Approach
Scotia Wealth Management is dedicated to helping clients and families prepare for the emotional, practical and financial realities of caregiving. J5 served as their design and strategy partner, bringing deep caregiver knowledge into the design of the initiative and helping translate that knowledge into meaningful support for clients.
We worked alongside Scotia leaders, program managers and marketing teams to integrate caregiver education, resources and referral pathways into Scotia’s Total Wealth offering. This included designing the information, data and supporting systems required to connect the initiative with Scotia’s marketing channels and internal platforms.

WHY IT MATTERS
Caregiving can profoundly affect a family’s emotional well-being, relationships, employment and financial future. Yet many Canadians do not consider the costs of aging in place, long-term care or supporting a loved one until they are already facing the challenge.
An estimated 650,000 caregivers will be supporting Canadians living with dementia by 2050. Through its Total Wealth approach, Scotia Wealth Management recognized that caring for clients means understanding their lives beyond their finances and helping families prepare for the realities that accompany longer lives.
