Course Overview
Innovation is a capability everyone should have. Ignite combines five hands-on modules with dedicated coaching and support, helping participants apply service design to real organizational challenges.
Module 1
Framing Challenges
An introduction to service design and how it connects lived experience with organizational systems to frame challenges and unlock innovation.
Module 4
Prototyping
Participants generate new ideas and create simple service prototypes to test quickly with users and stakeholders.
Module 2
User Research
Participants learn practical research methods to engage customers, employees and stakeholders, uncover unmet needs and design meaningful research.
Module 5
Implementation
Participants use feedback to iterate and strengthen solutions, then build a practical pathway toward implementation.
Module 3
Sensemaking
With research insights collected, participants apply sensemaking to turn data into opportunities by mapping patterns, uncovering barriers, and reframing challenges into problem statements.

Coaching sessions between each module help participants apply the tools, refine their work and maintain momentum.

Ignite is delivered over 12 weeks, with five half-day classroom sessions held every two weeks.
Coaching and virtual support are provided between modules, bringing the program to a minimum of 21 instructional hours per participant.
